I would like to introduce my painting "The Wait" to you. This beautiful black and white cat is staring out onto an evening lawn, perhaps in the late spring or early summer. You can almost smell the bar-b-que in the backyard, with the apple pie in the oven. But something is missing. Actually, someone is missing. This cat is waiting for that special someone to return home. We all, at one time or another, wait for that special someone to get home. Our world completes when we see them walk up the sidewalk or drive into the driveway. I hope you like "The Wait" as much as I enjoyed creating it.
The model for "The Wait" stars a beautiful black and white cat that is full of life. Her name is Alice. She just showed up in our driveway one afternoon as a kitten and made herself a part of our family. There is more to her story that is part of my new book of stories that is out now. The original painting for "The Wait" is 16x20 oil on Belgian linen. Check my website for availability. Prints, cards, and other formats are available. The 16x20 giclée paper prints are limited to just 10. They are signed and numbered by me. They will also include my signed and embossed certificate of authenticity. The paw print at the end of my signature signifies awareness for cat and dog rescues. Many of you are already rescuers. We encourage everyone to find a place in their heart to rescue from a shelter and save a life - or two - or three.
